Great location, comfortable apartment,near supermarket,bakeries,etc,nice restaurants in street which cater for allergies. Laundromat was just around corner. A great place to stay. Dear Elizabeth. The apartment in rue de Bretagne was very comfortable and surprisingly spacious. There was ample room for 4 people. The beds were comfortable and the location convenient to many metro stations. We enjoyed the cafes and the markets near by. We were met at the apartment on time and received excellent instructions about transport and services nearby. We particularly enjoyed the park opposite and spent a few afternoons there just watching the world go by. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a comfortable stay in Paris. En general teníamos desconfianza por rentar un departamento via internet pero afortunadamente Allorenta resultó ser una empresa seria. El dueńo del departamento siempre fue muy amable con nosotros en nuestras comunicaciones, estuvieron a tiempo para recibirnos cuando llegamos, el departamento era idéntico a las fotos mostradas en la página de internet, estaba muy limpio y bien ubicado y realmente nos sentimos como en casa. En el departamento había todo lo que se podía necesitar (microondas, refrigerador, lavadora, estufa, trastes, televisión, internet, teléfono, calefacción e inclusive secadora de cabello). I would have to say that the apartment we rented not only made our trip more memorable but it's great location made it possible to see so much more of Paris. The price was an additional plus. I have recommended this apartment to many friends. It was conveniently located a short walk from Art de Metiers or Republique which are on 2 major metro routes. It was very easy to travel from the airport (ORY) via the Air France bus to Invalides, and then on to Republique or Art de Metiers via metro. We easily did this with 6 people (made in Canada) and 8 suitcases, even though we had never been to Paris before. The apartment easily accommodated this number of people (the kitchen is a bit small by western standards). The local area has lots of markets, cafes, supermarkets, and restaurants to fill in the gaps and then on to the Eiffel, Louvre, Chinatown, or wherever your interests may take you. Violet, the owner was fantastic, as was Melanie who met us at the apartment. For westerners who are not familiar with the building styles of Europe, finding the entry to the apartment might be tricky the first time. You have to go through the first door (via a coded entry) and then into the center of the block through a second door, then ring for the apartment. We eventually figured this out. The lack of a lift to the third floor was no problem at all and made the experience more .authentic. We are now checking out Allorenta properties in other cities. I want to say the apartment was perfect, clean, light and airy. Smelt clean and fresh and very spacious. It is in a great location close to two metro stations and lots of cafes and restaurants, and found an internet cafe across the road next to the park. As for the apartment and owner, we would be pleased to write a testimonial. "Our family of 4 stayed in the Marais Bretagne apartment from July 4 to 11, 2009. The apartment was spacious (for Paris standards), and well situated in an interesting neighbourhood, close to 3 metro stations, as well as numerous restaurants and shopping facilities. The owner, Madame Wozniak, was very friendly and even provided us with helpful directions on how to get out of Paris heading down to Provence. If we return to Paris (which we certainly intend to do!), we would not hesitate to stay in this apartment again. The apartment was spacious yet cozy and was perfect for our every need. It was divinely Parisian and we felt at home in the apartment and in the eclectic Marais district right outside our door. We shopped daily for fresh baguette and enjoyed many evening meals at the grand assortment of cafes right on Rue de Bretagne. There were plenty of metro stations close by to visit the many attractions that Paris has to offer. In a word, it was PERFECT. Allorenta and Mme. Wozniak were responsive and attentive as we planned our stay before our trip. There could have been no better value for our families stay in Paris . We will highly recommend Allorenta and Marais-Bretagne.76 to any of our friends who travel to Paris . Thank you so much for making our experience wonderful. It was a dream come true. For a Family of 5 this was helpful. We were very comfortable and the apartment was clean and spacious. We had someone to meet us on our arrival and help us settle in as well.The apartment is on the third floor so you must be prepared for the stirs as there is no lift but for us this was fine. The kitchen was small but well equipped. We had great service from both Allorenta and the owner. Thank you. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, zu Fuß ist man sofort beim Centre Pompidou, ein Supermarkt und ein kleiner Wochenmarkt sind auch sofort ums Eck. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich. Nachmittags gab es Bauarbeiten im Appartement nebenan, aber zu dieser Zeit stört der Lärm nicht, und abends/morgens/nachts war die Wohnung herrlich ruhig. Vielen Dank für diesen tollen Aufenthalt!
