Hi Elisabeth, I am sorry I did not write sooner, I am only just back in Australia now as I went to Malaysia after France to watch my son play in an international football tournament, which was great fun. The apartment at 11 Rue Chevreul Nation-Bastille 75011 Paris was fantastic. Our stay was very enjoyable and comfortable. The apartment has everything you could need on your holiday and the location of the apartment is perfect. You have every type of shop and Bank facilities right at your door step and travelling to all the tourist destinations is very easy with the metro trains a 2 minute walk from the apartment. I loved it and will be booking the apartment again in the future. Thank you for all your help in booking the apartment. Kind Regards, Allan Healy

Dear Damian, Please use my recommendations on your web site: The apartment was just perfect. It was even better than I expected from description and photos on web site. I wasn’t sure how my wife and daughters will accept the fifth floor with no elevator. Actually it added one more personal touch to this home. The location of apartment is very convenient. There is direct bus line to CDG airport and direct RER line to Disnayland. I’d definitely recommend this apartment. It is very well suited for families with kids. Thanks so much to Mme. Wozniak and to Allorenta for making the apartment available! Some minor improvements: 1. It may be more convenient, if appartment recommendations will be located directly in apartment dascription page on your web site. 2. There was some minor problems with internet access point device in apartment. I guess there are some physical breakage in power supplay cable. From time to time it stops working and need to be reseted. Janis Judrups Riga, Latvia

Dear Elizabeth, Our stay in Paris was wonderful. The apartment suited us perfectly. It was comfortable and roomy and had a very well appointed kitchen. When I had trouble using the induction stovetop, Maria from two floors down was very helpful in showing me how. She also very graciously let me into the apartment when I inadvertently locked myself out. Many thanks to her for making our stay that much more enjoyable. The apartment is on a street that is only one block long, sandwiched between two lively and busy streets with lots of cafes and little shops. Because the street is so short, it isn't a major thoroughfare and is surprisingly quiet at night. There is a grocery store around the corner and the Nation Metro stop is only a few blocks away. Nation is on the number 1 line which cuts through Paris from east to west, so almost anywhere in Paris is reachable by metro with only one change of direction. The apartment is on the fifth floor with no elevator, so it is a climb, but the balcony with its French windows and morning sun make it well worth the added effort. We stayed in the apartment for nine nights and I slept better and felt more at home for those nine nights than for any of the other nights in our month-long European vacation. I just can't say enough good things about this place! I should add, though, that being able to speak at least a little French, is helpful. Thanks so much to Mme. Wozniak and to Allorenta for making the apartment available! Best Regards, Kat Emerson

Everything was REALLY perfect. I stayed there with my 2 friends, young women. We went to Paris for sightseeing, shopping and rest. The district is nice, safe, good grade-crossing elimination structure. There are several underground lines, including 1st (the most central), and RER A line, which goes to Disneyland and La Valee de Vilage (discounted shopping village), and La Defance. The building is old, very nice. You feel that you are Parisian! The apartment is very nice, clean, very good equipped. The living room is magical, with all this antique furniture. We were amazed with this. We had 2 keys, it is very convenient. What is also important that the apartment looks like “living”, I mean not like “daily rented”. The feeling was like the owner just left to the shop or somewhere for awhile. There is real Parisian view from the windows. The kitchen has all necessary and even more. Re your agency. I will recommend you to my friends because you are very professional and helpful. It was my first experience with the apartment abroad rented through the agency and I am completely satisfied. Please kindly say our thanks to the owner and give her some advice, which can be helpful with the guests from former Soviet Union . I will be very glad to stay there again. Thank you very much and wish you all the best! Warmest Regards,

Three of us stayed at the Nation-Bastille apartment, during the last week of August 2009. It is a lovely apartment, situated very close to the metro, as well as lots of very convenient supermarkets, boulangerie's and patisseries. It has a double bedroom as well as a very large loungeroom area, with two "proper" single beds/couches, which made it very comfortable for my two teenage sons and myself to stay, without falling over each other as we would have in a much smaller apartment. When we were leaving, I accidentally locked us out of the apartment, with our bags still inside! There was a moment of panic, and then Maria, the owners' friend who lives in the building, came to our rescue with a spare key! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely use Allorenta again, as they made everything so easy. I really appreciated the fact that the apartment was exactly as it was portrayed in the Allorenta listing and photos. Best regards, ,

Dear Elisabeth, I am happy to reply to your request for comments on the Nation-Bastille apartment. I was there alone, working everyday for six weeks, so my comments are from someone who knows Paris quite well (this was my 8th research visit). I might respond differently from the usual tourist. In any case, I absolutely love this apartment. It is spacious, and well situated in an active, friendly Parisian neighbourhood. Great restaurants and numerous supermarkets are within blocks. The Nation metro station is convenient and intersects with many metro lines, including line #1. It took me only 25 minutes to get to the Bibliotheque nationale (Tolbiac) every morning. I never actually met the owner but she was very easy to deal with via e-mail and the residents in the building were extremely welcoming. I liked that the apartment was on the 5th floor (6th in North-American terms) without an elevator, though people with mobility issues should be aware of the stair-climbing that is required. This neighbourhood is good for jogging as numerous nearby streets are quite wide. I could also walk to the Parc de Vincennes and jog around Lac Dumesnil every once in a while. A good though slightly pricely Club Med gym is close by and--though it does not compare to many North-American gyms--it provided a nice change of pace from jogging. My main interests in Parisian apartments are: safety, spaciousness, convenience, and the desire to avoid living in excessively busy, touristy areas. Because this apartment fulfills all of these requirements, I would definitely rent it again. Sincerely, Lianne
