Bastille

The Colonne de Juillet dominates la Place de la Bastille. It marks the site of the prison known as the Bastille which was stormed by the Mob in 1789 at the start of the French Revolution. Eiffel Tower

About 1 km away from the Musée d'Orsay, you will see the world most visited site - the Eiffel Tower. This towering edifice standing 320m high was built for the Universal Exposition of 1889, held to commemorate the centenary of the French Revolution.
